Garin started his career in music as a child prodigy playing many instruments. His formal education began with his gifted and musical parents at the age of two-and-a-half on the then popular accordion. Six months later, Garin was performing regularly in public on this newly acquired instrument in promotions for his parents music stores. Garin's first television appearance was at five when Regis Philbin contacted the "one boy band" to be on his show in Southern California. Additional instruments were added throughout his young years so that, by the age of seven, he was performing seven instruments, tap dancing, and singing. However, at seven, the love for the piano was a turning point in Garin's career, when it became the sole instrument of his dedication and labor. Although Garin has played popular music most of his life, his classical training began early as well. At fifteen, he won the prestigious Leonard Bernstein Award playing the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto. His training continued on full scholarships at the Cleveland Institute of Music, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Music Academy of the West, and the Aspen Music Festival. He was awarded two recording contracts through competition and is currently completing his fourth soon to be released CD. His piano interpretations can be heard there playing many of the world's favorite classical piano selections as well as his own compositions. Garin's Music - Garin's piano recordings will take you on an emotional and magical journey of the heart and the imagination. His "musical portraits" and landscapes evoke images of romantic settings and exotic adventures that will transport you to another world of relaxation, fantasy, and thrills. for more details.
